MISSION

Our Mission: Building a Brighter Future for Children

Fostering Lives is a vibrant community dedicated to education, support, and action. Through our multi-faceted platform – including the Fostering Lives Podcast (Tuesdays at 7:00 pm), Master Classes for teachers (see schedule), courses for Parents/Grandparents (Wednesdays at 7:00 pm EST), and Foster and Adoptive Workshops (see schedule) – we provide practical solutions, foster meaningful connections, and build a powerful support network for families, educators, and communities.

 A Legacy of Caring

Inspired by her grandmother, a teacher who served as a pillar of her community, Dr. Mitchell is driven by a deep concern for the current challenges facing our educational system and the well-being of our children. She recognizes the urgent need to address declining academic success, unsafe school environments, teacher burnout, exhausted families, and the heartbreaking reality of the 400,000 children lost within the child welfare system. Additionally, the daily death toll of youths being killed by needless violence in the streets of America deeply troubles Dr. Mitchell. Dr. Mitchell strongly believes that the solutions lie in  reigniting the strength of the family and community
